NT Government funded training opportunity to upskill/reskill Licensed Property Managers currently working in the Industry.
The REINT team have been working closely with ISACNT on an NT Government funded opportunity for our members to upskill or reskill existing workers as part of the Industry Buildskills Program. The Industry Buildskills Program targets Northern Territory (NT) jobs affected by occupational shortage demands. Property Management is on the high-priority list.
After talks with members, in particular our Property Manager cohort about workplace stress and industry retention, the following areas were raised as significant reasons to invest in upskilling and reskilling,
- Enhanced Productivity: Upskilling or reskilling enhances employees’ productivity by enabling them to perform tasks more efficiently and effectively. This, in turn, can lead to increased job satisfaction and improved employee morale.
- Improved Job Satisfaction: Having the tools to perform, adapt and deal with different circumstances in their role reduces workplace pressures and improves well-being, which can help retention in the property management profession.
- Adapting to Changing Industry: Soft skills are continually evolving, and the techniques that were best practice yesterday may not be today. To help employees adapt to changing workplace and customer demands it’s important to advance our knowledge and skills.
- Career Advancement: Learning new skills and acquiring knowledge in emerging workplace practices can help employees advance their careers by becoming leaders and opening new opportunities.
Based on member interest, we have now identified 20 property managers for training to be conducted by Sally Morris of Response Employment and Training.
If you missed out on the opportunity this time or weren’t in the region of applications, don’t worry! This pilot program will test how a program of this nature will work for our industry and offer more opportunities like this across all regions soon.
