Real Estate training in High School

Real Estate training in High School

On the 30th of January 16, enthusiastic Year 11 and 12 students started their journey in Certificate III in Real Estate Practice as part of the high VET Delivered to Secondary Schools (VETDSS) program.

Students will dedicate 2 days a week during School terms in 2024 for training at our facility in the city. By the end of the school year, students would have completed this course gaining skills in Property Management, Sales, and Administration, whilst obtaining up to 50 credits towards their NT Certificate of Education (NTCE).

What’s more exciting is that we’ve strategically included the 5 Interim units from Certificate IV  in Real Estate Practice in this course. This means that upon graduation, these students will be well-equipped to enter the workforce.  They will have the necessary knowledge and units to obtain their Interim Registration when they turn 18, with a solid understanding of an assistant agent’s role.

This approach benefits the students and reduces the investment required for our members for future training should they hire one of the graduates.

We see this program as a long-term investment toward addressing industry skills shortage.

Our commitment to providing valuable opportunities doesn’t stop here. In term 1 of 2024, we will be seeking expressions of interest from members who would like to take on a student for a week of work experience. Stay tuned for more details!  Future Property Manager alert!

While this program is currently available in the Top End only, we want to assure you that Katherine, Gove, and Alice Springs are in our radar to be added for 2025

As you can imagine, we are EXCITED for what’s to come!

NATIONAL PROPERTY MANAGERS DAY – 21 JULY

NATIONAL PROPERTY MANAGERS DAY – 21 JULY

REI’s across Australia recognise the sterling efforts that Residential and Commercial Property Managers continue to put in year after year. As we all know the challenges are never-ending. Our Property Managers have never been under so much pressure as in recent years, with ongoing skills shortages and this year’s rental crisis seeing things worsening before it gets better.

In an initiative driven by REINSW, join us (REINT) and the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) in showing your support and appreciation to all of our outstanding Property Managers and acknowledging how much help and support they have given to both their landlords and tenants.

Let’s celebrate together on Friday 21 July 2023 (Nationally).

How to Celebrate

  1. Showcase your star property managers;
  2. Share their accomplishments on your social channels using #nationalpropertymanagersday AND share them with REINSW and REINT for extra exposure; and

Organise a celebration of your own.
