Request for Expression of Interest – Real Estate Trainer

Attention all Real Estate Industry Professionals!

Do you have a passion for mentoring and training others? Are you a charismatic and dynamic individual who can communicate with young people? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

The Real Estate Institute of the Northern Territory is in discussions with the Department of Education to introduce Real Estate training as part of the VET in Schools / School-Based Traineeship Pilot Program in 2024.  This program will allow students in Darwin (initially) to complete a real estate qualification as part of their Year 12 Certificate.

We are seeking expressions of interest from our members to join us as Trainer for this ground-breaking program. As a Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering training programs to high school students in a classroom setting and play an important role in training the future of the real estate industry in the Northern Territory.

WHAT THIS PROGRAM MEANS FOR MEMBERS

With this implementation, students who complete the real estate training as part of their year 12 Certificate will have the skills to be an “Assistant/Trainee Agent” and the required units of competency to apply for an Interim Registration once they turn 18.  Essentially, you could employ a graduate straight out of school with the education requirements for an Interim Registration and have that new employee assist in the field with a degree knowledge already all while they complete the remainder of the education requirements for Licensing! There would be a credit transfer towards part of the Cert IV once this VET program is completed. This means the remainder of the Cert IV would be offered at a reduced cost enabling quicker completion of studies.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following attributes:

·        Currently working in the industry

·        Willingness to undertake training to be a trainer

·        Experience with running workshops, workplace training or meetings etc

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with a younger cohort

·        Positive attitude with an ability to guide students in completing studies within a reasonable time.

·        Cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity

We are willing to work with the right person to obtain the necessary training qualifications and receive professional guidance to be the best trainer they can be!

This is an opportunity to take your real estate experience to new heights and move into the training sector to share your knowledge with the next generation.

If your profile fits the above, we encourage you to submit your expression of interest as a cover letter and resume, to ceo@reint.com.au by 31/05/2023.

Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to make a difference in the future of the real estate industry. We look forward to hearing from you!
